PULZ ("we", "us", "our") operates the PULZ platform at getpulz.app, collab.getpulz.app, and dashboard.getpulz.app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and profile information from your Google account.

Instagram Data: When you connect your Instagram account, we access your public profile information (username, profile picture, follower count), media list (posts, reels, stories), and engagement insights. We use the Instagram Business API with your explicit authorization.

Content Submissions: When you submit content for brand collaborations, we store the media URLs, captions, and AI verification results.

Purchase Information: If you participate in purchase-based collaborations, we receive order confirmation data from the brand's Shopify store (order ID, email used at checkout) to verify your purchase.

Brand Information: For brands using our dashboard, we collect business name, Instagram profile, and Shopify store connection details.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and operate the PULZ platform for brands and creators
  • Match creators with relevant brand collaborations based on profile and content
  • Verify content submissions against brand requirements using AI
  • Display follower count and engagement metrics to brands for collaboration matching
  • Process rewards, cashback, and discount codes for completed collaborations
  • Send transactional emails (collaboration invitations, reward notifications)
  • Improve our AI content verification and matching algorithms

3. Instagram Data Usage

We access your Instagram data solely to:

  • Verify that content submitted for collaborations was posted on your account
  • Display your profile information and follower metrics on your PULZ dashboard
  • Help brands discover and match with relevant creators
  • Calculate your creator tier based on follower count

We do not post on your behalf, access your direct messages, or share your raw Instagram data with third parties. Brands only see your public profile and content you explicitly submit.

4. Data Sharing

We share your information only with:

  • Brands you collaborate with: Your public profile, submitted content, and verification scores
  • Service providers: Supabase (database hosting), SendGrid (transactional email), Google Cloud (AI content verification), Shopify (purchase verification and reward fulfillment)

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Content submission data is retained for the duration of the collaboration plus 12 months. Instagram access tokens are refreshed automatically and deleted immediately when you disconnect your account.

6. Data Deletion

You can delete your data by:

  • Disconnecting Instagram from your profile settings in the PULZ app
  • Removing the PULZ app from your Instagram account settings (Settings → Website Permissions → Apps and Websites)
  • Contacting us at hello@getpulz.app to request full account deletion

When you remove the app from Instagram, we automatically receive a callback from Meta and delete your Instagram access token and associated data within 24 hours.

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), secure credential storage, database-level access controls, and regular security reviews. Instagram tokens are stored securely and refreshed automatically before expiry.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Withdraw consent for Instagram access at any time
  • Export your data in a portable format

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

10. Children

PULZ is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of PULZ after changes constitutes acceptance.
